The statue of the founder of Singapore, Sir Stamford Raffles, cast in bronze the dark by Thomas WOOLNER is in front of the Victory Theater. His response, pure white is the polymarble North Boat Quay, in an area colloquially known as the Raffles Landing Site, as this is the place where Raffles is believed to have first stepped ashore.
